Mandarin Oriental lists Deluxe Room and Deluxe River View Room as separate categories at its Pudong hotel. Match that distinction before treating two quotes as equivalent.
What I’d compare
Compare both room category and cancellation policy. A non-refundable offer may cost less than a flexible one, even when the room photographs look similar.
What makes the difference
If the advisor offer costs a little more, weigh only the extras you will actually use. A dining or spa credit is not a reduction in the amount charged for the room.
